Sekou's unique style of Salsa/Mambo is rich with Afro-Cuban essence and laced with techniques from many genres of dance.

Sekou made his NYC Off-Broadway debut in "Celia - the Musical". In addition, Sekou has been teaching and performing for over 10 years at Latin Dance Congresses all over North and South America, Europe and Asia.

He has also taught Master Classes in New York, Chicago, LA, Seoul, Tokyo, San Diego, Seattle, Beijing, Singapore, Mumbai, Miami, Shanghai, Toronto, Dallas, Boston, Manchester, Warsaw, Mexico City, Puerto Rico, Rome and now in San Francisco!

We are always looking for talented, athletic, dedicated people to join our dance "family". Do you want to work hard at your dancing, learn exciting lifts + tricks, and perform at congresses and events throughout the Bay Area + the U.S.? If this describes you, please contact us!

Our teams dance salsa/mambo "On 2", cha-cha-cha, bachata, y mas... mixed with lifts and acrobatics. We rehearse twice a week in San Francisco.

Join our Student Dance Team!

Have you been wanting a challenge? Something more intense than weekly intermediate classes?

Ava + Rodolfo are accepting new people for their student team "The Latin Symbolics Experience" in January, so come join us! The team meets every Saturday from 3-5:30p at SF Dance Center in SF, and one Sunday a month. You will learn Salsa/Mambo "On 2", Cha cha cha, Bachata, turn technique, body movement, and performance experience.

The charge is $120 per person per month (5 rehearsals-12 hours=only $10 per hour). Admittance to the team is by instructor approval, so please contact us if you are interested in joining, you can also stop by to watch a rehearsal if you like.

We are looking for a few good men to join
our teams.

WE WANT YOU...to join our salsa dance teams!

The Latin Symbolics, Symbolic Mambo and the TLS Student Team are auditioning for male dancers. Whether you are newer to being on a team or have performance experience, we would like to meet you!

We train and perform Salsa, Mambo, Cha cha cha, Bachata and more with exciting, challenging lifts, drops and acrobatics. If you have a background in gymnastics or acro-sports, let us know -- that would be a plus!

Performance opportunities include local and out-of-town Salsa congresses and events. All three teams are under the direction of internationally recognized performer and instructor, Miss Ava Apple, and her dance partner, Mr. Rodolfo Guzman.
